As You Wood is a small workshop based in Oakley, Utah. These Terms & Conditions cover how we sell and the rules that apply when you use this site or place an order. If anything here is unclear, reach out at contact@asyouwood.com before you order — we’d rather answer a question now than fix a misunderstanding later.
1. Who we are and what this agreement covers
As You Wood (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a handcrafted wood goods business operated as a small workshop in Oakley, Utah. We design and build made-to-order wood products — charcuterie boards, cutting boards, signs, tabletops, American flags, dressers, furniture, and custom engravings — sold through our website at asyouwood.com.
By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree, do not use this site or submit an order.
2. Who can use this site
You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase on asyouwood.com. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Products and the nature of handcrafted work
Every item we sell is built to order from locally sourced and repurposed wood. Because we work with real, natural materials, no two pieces are identical. Grain patterns, color tone, and texture will vary from piece to piece. Product photography on this site represents the style and quality of our work — not an exact replica of the item you will receive.
Variations in wood grain, color, and natural markings are not defects. They are what make each piece one-of-a-kind.
4. Custom orders and the 48-hour change window
Many of our products can be customized with engravings, specific wood types, or design modifications. When you place an order that includes customization, you have 48 hours from the time of purchase to request changes to the engraving text, wood type, or design.
After that 48-hour window closes, we begin work on your order and no changes can be accommodated. To request a change within that window, contact us at contact@asyouwood.com.
5. Pricing, payment, and order acceptance
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Some prices are confirmed at time of purchase; others may vary by product configuration. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time.
Payment is processed through Wix Payments. We do not store your full card number. By submitting your order, you authorize the full transaction amount to be charged.
Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order due to suspected fraud, pricing errors, product availability, or any other reason at our discretion. If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will issue a full refund.
6. Handling, shipping, and risk of loss
All orders are made to order. Handling time is 3 to 7 business days and may vary based on order complexity. Handling time does not include transit time.
Shipping rates within the contiguous United States:
• Orders over $100: free shipping
• Orders under $100: $15 flat-rate shipping
We currently ship within the contiguous United States only. For shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, or international destinations, contact us before ordering. Risk of loss and title pass to you at the point of carrier handoff. We are not liable for delays, damage, or loss caused by the carrier — see the Shipping & Refund Policy for what to do if something arrives damaged.
7. Breast cancer donations
A portion of proceeds from asyouwood.com is donated at year-end to breast cancer research organizations and individuals affected by the disease. The specific amount, recipients, and timing of donations are at our sole discretion.
Donations are made on behalf of the business and are not a separate, itemized charge on your order. You are not purchasing a charitable contribution, and no portion of your payment is individually designated or refundable as a donation.
8. Acceptable use
By using this site, you agree not to:
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from asyouwood.com
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt site functionality or security
• Misrepresent your identity or submit fraudulent orders
• Use this site in any way that could harm us, our customers, or third parties
We reserve the right to block access for any user who violates these terms.
9. Intellectual property
All content on asyouwood.com — including product photography, written copy, design work, the As You Wood name, and any wordmarks or logos — is owned by or licensed to As You Wood. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any of this content without our written permission. Sharing individual photos or links for personal, non-commercial purposes is fine.
10. Product care, warranties, and limitations of responsibility
Our products are built from natural wood. Wood naturally expands and contracts in response to moisture, heat, and humidity changes. This is not a defect.
To protect your piece, keep wood products away from dishwashers, prolonged moisture exposure, direct heat, and open flame. We are not responsible for damage resulting from improper care or use.
We make no implied warranties of fitness for any particular purpose beyond normal household use as intended. If a product arrives with a defect attributable to our workmanship, contact us within 72 hours of delivery at contact@asyouwood.com.
11. Changes to offerings and access
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or suspend any product, service, or feature on this site at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate site access for any user at our discretion.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless As You Wood from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your use of this site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of this site or a purchase made here is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to that claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. This website and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
14. No refunds or cancellations
All sales are final. We do not accept returns, issue refunds, or process cancellations once an order is confirmed — except in the case of our own verified error or as otherwise required by law. The 48-hour change window described in Section 4 does not constitute a cancellation right. Full details are in the Shipping & Refund Policy.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted to this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
16. Order communications
When you place an order, we’ll email you about that order — confirmations, status updates, shipping notifications, and any questions about your custom request. These are transactional messages, part of fulfilling your order.
As You Wood does not run a marketing mailing list. We do not send unsolicited promotional emails, and we will not add you to any list. We will not sell or share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Summit County, Utah, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
